Cylindrical Sleeves for sand casting

Eco-friendly insulating foundry sleeves feature low thermal conductivity and thus high insulating performance thanks to the use of premium raw materials and a vacuum-forming production process that yields a bulk density of approximately 0.3–0.5 g/cm³. The use of biosoluble ceramic or mineral fibers (with a melting point of 1000–1200°C), combined with low density, high insulation, and excellent permeability, makes them ideal for non-ferrous metals and certain types of cast iron, allowing for a significant reduction in riser volume compared to sand risers. They offer a maximum volumetric yield of 30–40%.
