Red sand for casting
Red foundry sand is an oil-bonded, water-free sand that is ready to use.
Its high cohesiveness allows for precise, dimensionally accurate molding.
Red foundry sand is used for both manual and mechanical molding in the production of aluminum, bronze, and brass castings, and is particularly suited for artistic casting.
It is typically used as facing sand (pattern-facing sand): a 10–20 mm layer is sifted directly onto the pattern and lightly pressed by hand, after which the mold is filled with standard sand or molding earth and compacted to the desired hardness.
